This was my most recent homework assignment for 3D character animation, to take a character mesh and create clothes and skin for it. Id like this outfit, the pants not so much.

Ive been making a lot of new costom brushes in photoshop, Ive found that speed painting is a great way to warm up and test them. Coming up with a random scene from absolutely nothing is harder than it looks.

Character design: Talon

I finished the character that I was thumbnailing two posts ago. Design is a tricky thing, every element of a good character directly links to the characters story. I was designing a character who lives in a desert wasteland and spends his days in the sun. So while pale white skin is appropriate for a vampire like nosferatu who cannot go into the sun, my character needed a tan leathery tales from the cryp type feel. I might give this another go since our kind professor is rewarding those of us who completed the assignment with an oppurtunity to improve and resubmit.

Making Villains

This process seems to work pretty well for me ive found. Assemble reference and then just remember to keep the drawings nice and small so that its easy to compare them and figure out whats working, and more importantly whats not. This is the most recent page of drawings for this particular character, about halfway down is when I really landed on what I wanted.
As for The "things that scare me", sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and my closet door (which is at the end of my bed) is wide open, and I just know that one of these dudes is in there, probably both, and voldemort. Thanks for all the years of scares dad, I still check the closet for you.

The title is really self explanatory. That's just what it is. Next week's assignment is a vehicle with effects, im taking requests (I have no idea what I want to do).

Life drawing: in living color

I am ashamed that I rarely use my copics markers. I have a huge gallon ziploc bag full of them which I bought from a friend for probably 2 percent of what they are worth. These are the most expensive top of the line markers and they make my schoolmates jealous. I never knew that they were anything special, but cool for sure. I decided to go rogue in life drawing and pull em out.

I could watch this fatty huff it down the beach all day. Ive watched him run for days and he hasn't lost a single pound or broken a sweat. He is in deceivingly good shape. This vector animation HW.

Ninja Warrior

I dont put enough of the stuff I do for fun up, just practicing making inked lines in photoshop.  Do I have a thing for ink?  yes, yes I do. 

Life drawing INKS

I really really love taking a pen to a life drawing session it keeps all my lines super energized!  Life drawing is so much fun.
