Did you know that raptors had feathers? Did you know that they were about the size of turkeys? Did you know that they probably looked nothing like this.

Electric Sunrise

This is the title of my final digital painting for CG210. I really thought for a digital painting class we would have done more digital painting, however in all likelihood most of us will be texturing and not concept artists. Guess that's why we made texture maps all semester. At the beginning of the semester I was a 3 on the comfortable with photoshop scale, now I think I might be a 6. Plenty of room to improve still. Enjoy ; /

Chinese dragon- BIO 200

This is an assignment on creatures of myth. I chose the dragon, specifically the serpent-like chinese version because I think it has the most character. Looking into the subject further I found that dragons are to the chinese as gods and goddesses were to the ancient greeks. The chinese dragon also seems the least traditionally dragon, as it doesnt breathe fire or have wings, and additionally it looks more snake than lizard-like.

Halloween 2009

I think we bought somewhere in the neighborhood of like six pounds of assorted candy for the trick-or-treaters this year. We got a special door sign from management telling children that we were a trick-or-treater friendly unit. I actually had my fingers crossed that we wouldn't get too many kids because I wanted to have a little something left over. That wasn't a problem because we didn't end up getting a single knock on our door! :( Do you think it has anything to do with me taking the garbage out in my underwear? Oh and I carved a frankenstien pumpkin.

Artist Study Jim Lee

Jim lee is by far my most favorite comic book artist. I was pretty stoked to have an opportunity to do an inked master copy after him. The original looks almost identical, im extremely pleased with the result. I plan on adding my own color in photoshop at some point in time.

Artist Study Basil Gogos

This is an artist whose name you most likely will not recognize, however you definitely have seen his work. Classic iconic horror is the subject of Gogos paintings and drawings. Here ive attempted to reproduce a master work of heir-frankenshteen.

Life drawing mid-term (hands and feet)

I was very pleased with the results I got here, especially the two drawings that are done in full range of value on the toned gray paper. The cross contour drawing of my toes is very expressive of how I actually feel about my feet. Gnarly!
